How to Play Spot Blast

A free, fast-paced online matching game where speed and sharp eyes both matter.

Spot Blast is a browser-based symbol-matching game in the same spirit as classic "spot the shared symbol" card games — no download, no account required to start, and playable directly in any modern browser. Two cards appear side by side, each covered in a scattering of symbols, and exactly one symbol appears on both. Find it, tap it, and the faster and more accurately you do it across an entire level, the better your time and your place on the global leaderboard.

The Basic Rules

1. Look at both cards. Every pair of cards shares exactly one symbol in common — everything else is different.
2. Tap the shared symbol as soon as you spot it, on either card, to score the point and move to the next pair.
3. Wrong taps cost you time. Tapping a symbol that isn't the actual match adds a time penalty, so accuracy matters as much as speed.
4. Clear every pair as fast as you can. Your final time and accuracy are what get recorded to the leaderboard and your personal stats.

Fever Mode and Combos

Match three pairs in a row quickly enough and you'll trigger Fever Mode, which doubles your combo multiplier for a short stretch. Chaining fast, accurate matches back-to-back is the key to the best times on the leaderboard — a single wrong tap breaks your combo, so staying sharp under pressure pays off.

Five Difficulty Levels

Spot Blast has five levels of increasing difficulty, each with more symbols per card and more pairs to clear. Levels unlock progressively — clear a level 5 times to unlock the next one.

Badges and Achievements

Spot Blast has 94 badges to unlock across five categories, rewarding everything from your very first match to elite competitive rank:

• Milestones — total matches played, level completions, and returning to play consistently over time
• Speed — beating par times on each difficulty level
• Accuracy — perfect, zero-penalty runs
• Fever & Combos — triggering Fever Mode and stacking high combo multipliers
• Rank & Glory — climbing the Global, Country, and Region leaderboards, up to holding the #1 spot

Global Leaderboards

Every level has its own live leaderboard, filterable by Global, Country, or Region. Your best time over the last 30 days is what counts toward your current rank — a rolling window that keeps the boards fresh and gives everyone a real chance to climb, rather than one lucky run from months ago sitting at the top forever. Your true all-time personal best is tracked separately and never expires.

Sign In (Optional, but Recommended)

You can play Spot Blast as a guest with no sign-in at all. Signing in with Google lets you save your progress, appear on the leaderboards under your own name, and permanently keep every badge you unlock.
